Plenty To Do
For history buffs and outdoor enthusiasts, Billings offers plentiful downtime recreation. The Little Bighorn Battlefield, where Native American warriors defeated George Armstrong Custer and his troops in 1876, is only an hour’s drive away.
Travelers also frequently visit the Western Heritage Center museum, with its vast collection of historic artifacts and memorabilia, and the NOVA Center for the Performing Arts, which features drama, musical theater, improv comedy and opera. Great views can be found at Swords Park Trail and Zimmerman Park, among other locations. And the Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area is great for outdoor activities such as fishing and hiking.
